Playing with my new camera phone

After months of putting up with a mobile phone that had a fat crack across its screen and buttons which liked to spontaneously peel off, I recently upgraded to an all-singing-all-dancing smart phone. It's the first mobile I've owned that allows me to access the internet on the move. A revelation!

On top of new opportunities like updating Twitter about the wonderous montage of life in which I find myself immersed on public transport, and checking whether that guy in that film you're watching at a friend's house is actually from Almost Famous without having to move from the couch*, I have also been taking advantage of the camera - feel the awesome power of those 5.0 megapixels!

I've snapped some bits and bobs collected over recent weeks - many of which were birthday presents at the end of June - and pimped them with the Adobe Photoshop app I downloaded.

I'll be honest; I've just been having fun playing with new toys.

^ Blue satchel from Urban Outfitters, which I haven't left home without since it became mine.

^ Alexander McQueen: Genius of a Generation by Kristin Knox. See Amazon link on left of screen.

^ Long lusted-after headphones.

^ Rather glam D&G hoop earrings, with detachable logo discs.

^ Lego shark brooch from Folksy. The most nostalgic thing I've seen in ages.

^ Tatty Devine tortoiseshell anchor earrings. Swoon.

* It was Patrick Fugit and I was watching Wristcutters: A Love Story. It's a hauntingly romantic dark comedy (but not a 'romantic comedy'). Smart script, kickass soundtrack featuring Gogol Bordello, Joy Division and Tom Waits, and an impressive cast. Plus it's no where near as depressing as the title might suggest!
