Leporidae lovelies

Rabbits. I don't know if you'll have caught on but I'm quite a... fan.

Read, obsessive.

Spotting them, watching them, cuddling them, and yes, wearing them. But not WEARING them, as in y'know, bits of rabbits. Obviously I'm talking motifs.

So imagine my delight when I saw Nylon magazine's link to these necklaces by Tina Lilienthal.

According to her website:

Having graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2003 Tina Lilienthal quickly established herself as designer for fine fashionable jewellery with an edge.

Inspired by Pop Art, porn and anything plastic Tina's work focuses on the unconventional mixture of materials and meaning. Using iconographic symbols her jewellery playfully tells the story of love and loss, the cheap and the expensive, the mundane and the precious, the sacred and the profane.

Some Laporidae designs can be too cartoony for me, or the shape's wrong and doesn't quite invoke the sweetness of these fluffy little bundles of hop. But Tina's pendants are the perfect balance of nature and wearability.

The rabbit and skull combination is definitely my favourite. I love the dichotomy of cute and creepy.

What's your favourite animal?
