Third, fourth and fifth outfit post

Apologies to anyone who stopped by yesterday looking for the more substantial outfit post I promised. We ran out of time to take the pictures.

But better late than never, so here's what I wore over the May bank holiday weekend.

I was drawn to monochrome and muted tones, mainly because the weather was so miserable. Typical isn't it; I was stuck in the flat all week while glorious sunshine bathed the streets of London, and then as soon as I had plans on Friday and Saturday we were hit by torrential downpours.

On Friday night I wore my new mini dress by Yuki, with this gorgeous lace print. I teamed it with black and white accessories and wore nude opaque tights, purple sandals with a huge wooden wedge, and mint nail polish for a pop of colour.

Dress - Yuki
Necklace - Ixykix
Rings - vintage tiger's eye; ammonite fossil from Mexico; engagement
Zebra stripe bangle - Namibia
Nail polish - 'Minted' by Revlon

Saturday evening gave me an opportunity to wear the lace tee that I bought in Mint Vintage last week. Its baggy style gave my outfit for the house party a casual edge, but I still felt dressy enough for the occasion.

T-shirt - Mint Vintage
Jeans - Marks and Spencer
Belt - Urban Outfitters

I paired it with black skinny jeans, patent zipped heels, and silver skull drop earrings.

Shoes - Topshop
Socks - Jonathan Aston
Earrings - Made
Glasses - Ray Ban

Sunday was really chilly after all that rain, and really I was just lounging around the flat. I ventured out twice for a trip to buy some food and to meet a friend who was coming round for tea but wasn't sure where we lived. I kept it simple and comfortable, but still tried to embrace the spring months by keeping the colours on my top half light.

Jumper - Topshop
Striped t-shirt - Bibico
Jeans - Marks and Spencer
Boots - All Saints
Glasses - Paul Smith
